Infinitas Gracias: Mexican Miracle Paintings.

Usually commissioned from local artists  Mexican votives are small paintings created to commemorate and give thanks to the saint credited for answering a prayer for delivery from death or disaster. Local artists were commissioned by the grateful supplicant and they were painted on tiles and hung in churches The exhibition has over 100 examples from the 18th century to present day.

Ending Feb 26th.
