The Cartoon Museum of London are presenting an exhibition of original artwork to mark the 45th anniversary of Judge Dredd and the comic 2000AD.
It runs until April 24th
2000 AD is a weekly British science fiction and fantasy comic first published by IPC Magazines dated 26 February 1977. Since 2000 it has been published by Rebellion Developments.
Judge Dredd is a law enforcement officer in the dystopian future city of Mega City One .on the east coast of North America and surrounded by wastelands populated with mutants of various kinds. Dredd is a 'Street Judge' empowered to summarily arrest, convict, sentence, and execute criminals and generally keep citizens in line in this authoritarian state.
created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra. Judge Dredd first appeared in the second issue of 2000AD and is the magazine's longest-running character. There have been two films featuring him and he appears in video game adaptations
The American video game and enertainment website Imagine Games Network operated by IGN Entertainment Inc., ranked Judge Dredd 35th of the top 100 comic book heroes of all time.
