Priya is India’s first female superhero.
Created by writers Ram Devineni and Vikas Menon and illustrated by Dan Goldman, Priya is a rape survivor who, with the gods taking an interest, flies on her tiger, Sahas and with her superpower ability to motivate people to change helps women and girls to obtain justice. The first comic dealt with rape and the second with acid attacks on women.
