Death: A self-portrait. The Richard Harris Collection
15th November 2012 - 24th February 2013

Wellcome Collection 183 Euston Road London NW1 2BE

300 works devoted to the iconography of death. Art works - Rembrandt, Goya, Durer, Renaissance vanitas paintings - contemporary works, historical artefacts - ancient Incan skulls, antique metamorphic postcards - scientific specimens and drawings, war art, ephemera from across the world and  an installation celebrating Mexico’s Day of the Dead. Promises to be a spectacular and diverse collection of images.
No mention of comic book art which considering it’s creator’s  fascination and constant return to the subject strikes me as a missed opportunity.
