This the remainder of the correspondence between me and an earnest inquiirer about Look-in and a little more.Thanks for all the pictures. Much of this stuff I don’t have copies of. It’s a bit spooky seeing it all.It is obvious I was still struggling to find my own style. Apart from drawing every strip in a somewhat different way there are influences from different sources.

While still at high school, Maurice Sendak - June 10th 1928 - May 5th 2012 - worked for All-American Comics doing backgrounds and supplying storylines for the Mutt and Jeff strip. In 1951 he illustrated his first book. He went on to write his own stories. Where the Wild Things Are the most well known of the more than 100 books he illustrated and the 20 he wrote and illustrated .

It is my intention is to produce a ‘comic’, Sirius, on this website. Technical limitations means each ‘page’ will be presented as a blog consisting of a row of single frames.It will appear intermittently. Once a week would be ideal but having recently spent 5 days making one ’frame’ that I then dumped that seems unlikely.
